Pirate Punch Art Shadowbox Card...

This week's challenge at Just Add Ink is to 'Just Add Beaches'! How could I possibly go past such a warm and sunny sounding opportunity? Living in a cold, palm tree-less, land-locked territory like we do, I enjoy thinking about the beach...even if it means re-creating it with cardboard (how sad does that sound ;-)!

I must also quickly give a big thanks to: Kim, for inspiring me with her pirate-themed card, check it out here, and Nikki, for inspiring me with her port-holed card, see it here. Thanks ladies!

Now, I've got ink all over my hands, glue dots under my fingernails, little bits of dimensional backing paper stuck to my clothes, and 'Wind Beneath My Wings' playing over and over in my head. I think I need a glass of wine!

Hope you had a good weekend,

Wow Sam! This is absolutely brilliant!
You are just so, so clever!
I wouldn't be giving this card to anyone! You should keep it on permanent display someonewhere!
It will remind you of beaches and palm trees during the cold Canberra winter and be a reminder of how talented you are if you ever lose your crafting mojo.

Sam, this is AMAAAAAAZING!! When I saw the front, I thought wow - that's great! Little did I know what awaited me in the following photos! Love the little trail you created to the treasure, love the scene you've created, and I love the colours you've used. This gorgeous creation is a total feast for the eyes. It's a masterpiece! Thanks for playing along with us at JAI this week :)

WOW! I am with Christine, I thought wow when I saw the first photo, loved the bright cheery island and thought that wouldn't be a bad place to be stranded on, and then scrolling further down I was more gobsmacked when I saw what you had done with the inside. This is such a fabulous card that I think you should keep it on display for when you need cheering up and wish you were at the beach! Thanks for inspiring us all with this gorgeous card. We love seeing how you are inspired by our challenges at Just Add Ink.

Oh my goodness Sam, you have out done yourself this time!!! The front is just goregous but the shadow box inside is amazing. I love the dotted line to the treasure, the scattered coins (they might explain the all the glue dots) and of course the treasure chest. Absolutely delightful :)
